At Solinum, every year is another step toward fairer and easier access to social information. 2024 was no walk in the park, but it was a decisive one. A new study, new regions, new features, and even our first steps internationally: a look back at a pivotal year for our organization.
Yes, technology that is well-conceived, well-built, and well-shared can help our world grow and evolve. In 2024, we redesigned and rethought the Soliguide app to ensure the right information is accessible faster and more clearly to those who need it. In short, an app that is more ergonomic and easier to use.
Updating 106,000 services on Soliguideis not just a number.
It means preventing someone from missing out on a meal, a shelter, or support due to outdated information. That is why we launched a quality index this year to better track, evaluate, and improve our database.
Because in the social sector, the question isn't just: "Does the info exist?"
But: "Is it reliable, relevant, and being used?"
In 2024, Soliguide expanded into 7 new departments – including Réunion Island, our first overseas territory – and now covers 38 deployed departments. We also strengthened our partner network, with 7 local organizations launching Soliguide in 2024.
And for the first time, Solinum crossed borders, with the European project Solidigital, to create a Catalan version of Soliguide (Soliguìa) in Spain and Andorra.
This year, we conducted a national study on social information resources :
Over 222 tools identified, often underutilized or struggling to stay updated. The challenge is clear: pool our efforts, recognize the work of those maintaining these databases, and create synergies. The study provided concrete recommendations to better structure the ecosystem. Find the study right here.
