Culture is part of our everyday lives. It allows us to discover and understand the world and to open ourselves up to others. For young people, it is important for learning and self-expression. Yet, many young people do not have easy access to it. Three factors are to blame: price, distance, or a lack of information can all be barriers. Fortunately, solutions exist to make culture more accessible to everyone. So today, we’re telling you everything!
Many cultural activities are expensive: cinema, theater, museums, concerts… Young people who don’t have much money don’t always go. 💰
In some villages or neighborhoods, there aren't many cultural offerings. Sometimes you have to travel several kilometers to see an exhibition or a play. 🌍
Sometimes, young people don't even know that certain activities exist or are free. They aren't always well-informed. 🔎
The Pass Culture is a government grant. It allows 15 to 18-year-olds to buy books, movie tickets, attend concerts, and more. It’s free and easy to use.

Community organizations offer free activities or low-cost options. They also organize events in neighborhoods and villages so that everyone can take part.
Digital tools make culture more accessible.
HopHopFood is an organization that supports people in need. Recently, they have also begun working to improve access to culture. They have launched a partnership with the Théâtre Michel in Paris, allowing young people to get free theater tickets via the HopHopFood app*.
