Solinum Responds to Crises: The Ukrainian Crisis

We were convinced that Soliguide could be an effective tool to help displaced Ukrainians. We contacted the stakeholders involved to brainstorm an action plan and define how we could provide effective assistance: we identified useful resources for displaced Ukrainians, highlighted information points, and listed emergency social services in departments where we are not yet present, to ensure a minimum level of search capability. We also translated the website into Ukrainian (it was already available in Russian), so that displaced persons could use Soliguide independently.

After implementing these various actions, it was essential to disseminate them to the relevant individuals. We produced printable lists and shared the information with local stakeholders. In parallel, we created the first Soliguide widget for the bonjour.croix-rouge website in partnership with the French Red Cross. The widget allows information published on Soliguide to be integrated into another website via a simple link.

Finally, we shared our methodologies on citizen-led housing with the general public and social action stakeholders. In collaboration with social work professionals, we co-developed a more advanced version of our citizen-led housing management platform. Thanks to all these combined actions, nearly one million searches have been conducted on Soliguide.fr since March, including 91,000 using the Russian and Ukrainian translation filters, and over 100,000 via the Soliguide widget on the bonjour.croix-rouge website. We trained 20 social workers in citizen-led housing methodologies, and the new version of the Merci pour l'invit platform was launched in September 2022 to meet the requirements of the program.
