Filing a tax return, renewing healthcare rights, job searching, booking a medical appointment… Almost all administrative procedures and public services are now digital. For those who are not comfortable with the internet or digital tools, this creates a real, daily barrier.
In France, 13 million people struggle with digital tasks. Many of them simply do not know that there are places nearby where they can get free help.

Digital support is not just about learning to use a computer.
It includes: creating or recovering an email address, using France Connect, filling in an Ameli or CAF form online, securing passwords, avoiding scams, or using a phone for everyday procedures.
Each structure adapts its help to the person's level and needs.
Since 2021, the State has deployed more than 4,000 digital advisors across the country, attached to local structures: neighbourhood centres, social centres, libraries, associations. Their mission is to support individuals or small groups who struggle with digital tasks, free of charge and usually without an appointment. France Services centres are present in all towns and many rural communes and offer support with online procedures for numerous organisations (CAF, CPAM, Pôle Emploi, tax office…). Libraries and media libraries are also valuable yet often underrated resources: many provide free computer access and staff able to guide users.

Many local associations offer digital workshops, often in a more informal and friendly setting.
Emmaüs Connect, for example, specifically supports people in precarious situations. Soliguide lists all these structures near you, accessible by town, postcode or theme, to direct you to the most suitable resource for your situation.
Find a digital workshop
Before going to a support centre, it can be helpful to note what you want to do: a specific procedure, creating an account on a website, understanding a letter or email. The clearer your request, the more effective the support will be. Also remember to bring your login details or administrative documents if you want to complete a procedure on-site.
The aim of digital support is not to do things for you, but to give you the tools to be independent. In just a few sessions, it is possible to learn to navigate the internet safely, manage your inbox, use public services online, or recognise a phishing attempt.
On Soliguide, find all digital support structures available near you.
Simply enter your town or postcode to find the nearest location in seconds, with its opening hours, contact details and services offered.
